“To be able to reach someone’s soul with an image….To do it silently, yet so loudly with artwork…what a privilege and what a life!!!”
NAA Artist Susan Kneeland presents this free watercolor demonstration, organized by the Watercolor Interest Group in collaboration with Newburyport Art. This demonstration is supported by the Newburyport Local Cultural Council, a local agency funded by Mass Cultural Council.

Susan Kneeland’s artwork is immediately recognizable for its vibrant, heightened colors, and yet, her monochromatic artwork is equally notable. Proficient in all media and subject matter, Susan educates young and old, serves as a juror for art exhibitions and installs art exhibits. She designed a sculpture that was selected to stand proudly at the gateway to Haverhill’s beautiful rail trail along the Merrimack River, and in 2018 she was awarded for her contribution to the arts by the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
