Talk & Reception | Jake Ginga “Makerjake”: A Constant Reminder

  • Newburyport Art Association 65 Water Street Newburyport, MA 01950 USA (map)

Come celebrate the work of Jake Ginga “Makerjake”, indigenous artist known in Massachusetts for his unique approach to portraiture and the seamless integration of indigenous iconography and contemporary design elements.

Beginning at 3:15pm Jake will lead a short artist’s talk in the second-floor Hartson Gallery, where his solo exhibition is on display. Guests will be invited to join Jake as he moves outdoors to discuss his mural work on Independent Street — part of the NBPT Murals Project We Share One Sky. He will be joined Sophy Tuttle, another muralist on the project who will discuss her work on the corner of Federal Street and Water Street.

Light refreshments will be provided at Newburyport Art, and the reception is open to the public.
