NAA was asked to contribute an activity to Yankee Homecoming and we will be hosting chalk drawing on the Rail Trail alongside March's Hill. The idea is to create a chalk "map" of shapes that participants can draw within, each shape connected but 6 feet apart from other shapes. Since this event will draw families with children who are potentially unvaccinated, we want to allow for fun, outdoor drawing with social distancing. The map will also provide an organizing structure for a massive community drawing!
We are seeking volunteers to:
Envision the layout for the map/shapes
Create the map early Saturday morning (8am)
Staff the tent (hand out chalk, water bottles, sponges and water for blending) between 9am -12pm
Draw, offer demos or drawing/blending tips for participants
Take photos of the event/finished drawing
This is a really fun way to support the NAA and bring art to our community!
