Newburyport Art is pleased to present the 2023 Members’ Fall Juried Show, on view in the NAA’s Sargent, Hartson, and Hills galleries. This exhibition features 90 artworks out of a competitive pool of over 300 submissions, featuring a variety of mediums—including painting, drawing, sculpture, design & fine craft, mixed media, photography, printmaking, and digital art. The work showcases a wide breadth of techniques—from traditional to contemporary, and everything in between. Newburyport Art’s annual Fall Juried Show is a long-time favorite of its members, and this year’s Show promises to impress.
Join the NAA in celebrating these amazing artists and their work at a reception and awards ceremony on October 28th, from 5-7 p.m.!

The exhibition was juried by Markus Sebastiano, owner and founder of the Blochaus Art Gallery. Markus is a mixed media artist, primarily creating exclusive large-scale artwork, murals & installations for upscale restaurants, hotels, brands, and commercial spaces. Markus’s unique style of layering vintage paper, digital art transparencies, spray paint, acrylic, and resin has helped make his work easily recognizable, especially in Massachusetts. He refers to his style as “Vintage Future”.
Markus has created custom artwork for global brands and celebrities such as Lululemon, Coca-Cola, SAP, Absolut Vodka, Jameson Whiskey, Lil Jon, HGTV, BRAVO, W Hotel, Yotel, Cambria Hotel AC Hotel, Sagamore Hotel, and more. His personal work has exhibited throughout the US and has made appearances at international fairs including LA Art Show and Art Basel, Miami.
Markus is also a collaborator with Newburyport Art on the NBPT Murals Project, also referred to as We Share One Sky. The project aims to bring public art murals to downtown Newburyport, connecting and engaging residents and visitors with Newburyport through a series of large-scale, exterior mural paintings.
