2020 has been enormously challenging for all of us, but with your assistance, encouragement, and generosity, we can move forward in our mission to support artists and community, and we see that a New Dawn is truly on the horizon. As we approach the end of the year and the final days of our “NAA New Dawn” campaign, please consider making a donation to help us meet our $50,000 goal. With your generosity, we will be able to continue our vital work, relaunching our exhibition, education, and community programming, and keeping the arts accessible to all in 2021 and beyond. Thank you!

In operation since 1948, the NAA is a cornerstone of the greater Newburyport vibrant arts scene with over 600 artists and non-artist members from around the region. The NAA’s mission includes art exhibitions, arts education, and community outreach to keep the arts accessible for all. Last year we awarded over $12,000 in scholarships to high school seniors through the ArtLink program, increased the number of participants in OpArt, an art program for disabled adults, expanded our educational offerings, and presented over forty juried and open art exhibits. We thank the artists and the patrons who have helped us thrive for 72 years!
Although we temporarily closed to the public from March to November, we were active and innovative behind-the-scenes, providing our 2020 scholarships to high school seniors and maintaining our beautiful, outdoor Range Light Sculpture Garden for the enjoyment of the community, offering a peaceful, welcoming, and safe space in the time of social distancing. We moved our exciting Regional Juried Show online and hosted our first-ever Art Auction Exhibition and online Art Auction in September.
We re-opened our newly renovated gallery on November 6th with The Power of Art: Members Open Show, featuring stunning work by over 90 of our member artists. We are keeping everyone safe by complying with state Covid regulations, requiring masks for all visitors and staff and following social distancing protocols. We warmly invite you to come by and immerse yourself in gorgeous and powerful art! To increase accessibility, we are also continuing to make our exhibition available online.
Our deepest gratitude to you, our artists and community.
