Longtime photojournalist Jim Vaiknoras will teach this 4 week class on visual story telling. This class is geared toward the intermediate photographer and covers choosing a subject matter, developing and planning your project, as well as the best use of lighting and composition to build a narrative with single or multiple photos.
Throughout the class, Jim will present stories he has produced from over thirty years at the Daily News and Newburyport Magazine. He will share inspirations, pitfalls, and the methods he uses to tell stories. This hands on 4 week course will, through assignments, editing and positive critique, cover all aspects of bringing a journalistic approach to photography. Class size limited to 10 students.

Jim Vaiknoras has been telling the stories of New England for over 30 years. For most of that time he was a staff photographer for the Newburyport Daily News, and the Director of Photography for
