  • Guest Curator Program – Gallery Shop

Curious about curating? Do you have a group of artists whose work you’d like to exhibit? Do you have an idea or point of view you want to express through curation? This year, the NAA is piloting a guest curator program in our gallery shop. Guest curators propose a group of artists, mediums, theme, or point of view for the gallery shop, create a title and curatorial statement, receive and install work with the help of the gallery manager, and facilitate the collection of bios and images for marketing. Guest curators are selected through an application process and receive a small stipend and press. If you’re interested in applying to be a guest curator, you can find the application HERE.

Keep Art Accessible For All! Donate to NAA New Dawn Capital Campaign

In operation since 1948, the NAA is a corner-stone of the greater Newburyport vibrant arts scene with over 600 artists and members from around the region.  Our mission includes art exhibitions, arts education, and community outreach, especially to students and adults with disabilities, to keep the arts accessible for all.

When the COVID-19 crisis forced us to close our doors from March to October, there was a void felt in both art and community. Thanks to the efforts of the NAA Board and our committed supporters, we re-opened to the public on November 6th with The Power of Art: Members Open Show, featuring stunning work by over 90 of our member artists.

As we approach the end of the year and the final weeks of our “NAA New Dawn” campaign, please consider making a donation to help us meet our $50,000 goal to cover operating expenses. With your generosity, we will be able to continue our vital work for many years to come. Thank you!  To Donate,  click Count Me In!

The Newburyport Art Association is a 501(c )(3) non-profit organization.
