Congratulations to Budd and Stephanie Kelley,
our raffle winners for
A Perfect Day, by Sue Charles
We thank the Kelley’s and everyone who donated to the 2019 Annual Appeal and became part of our story!
The NAA is home to artists and non-artists, residents and visitors alike, who become members and support this community because we appreciate all that a vital art organization brings to the quality of life in the community it serves.
Looking forward to a new dawn!
The NAA is currently closed to the public.
We look forward to re-opening and welcoming our artists and
art community back at a future date.
In the meantime, stay safe, strong, and healthy.

23RD ANNUAL REGIONAL JURIED SHOW
Art has always been the raft onto which we climb to save our sanity. I don’t see a different purpose for it now. ~ Dorothea Tanning
These words have more meaning than ever as we grapple with the new realities of self-isolating at home for the good of not just ourselves but our community. In this vein, we are pleased to have come up with an online show to showcase the works in our annual Regional Juried Show to not just honor our artists but provide a little escape to someone who needs it.
We have had record sales in this virtual show. The show will be ongoing.
We are thrilled to announce the juror’s decisions of accepted works and awards for this prestigious show. Thank you to our juror, Ruth Greene-McNally, Curator & Collections Manager, Ogunquit Museum of American Art for her hard work. We thank all the artists for their submissions. It takes a level of bravery to put your art and creativity into the world to be judged. There were 512 submissions of which 149 were chosen, in 11 different media. For the complete list, click here
The show will be online ongoing, with a process to purchase.
Congratulations to all the accepted artists!
New date announced…
Saturday, September 26, 2020
We are excited to announce that we have successfully rescheduled The 19th Annual Art Auction & Party to the days surrounding September 26, 2020. This fine art auction supports all programming including exhibitions, education, & community outreach. This sell-out event has grown to become the NAA’s most important fundraiser and a popular evening for the Newburyport & surrounding community – great art, food, and company. Though this year the event will be held virtually, we are excited to announce that there will be a three week exhibit of all auction works in the lower galleries. We plan on small artist receptions if possible and a few surprises!
More than ever- the community needs this event to celebrate art and the artists that create it. Over 80 artists have already donated artwork in all medias and price ranges.
Please mark your calendars and plan to join us virtually and in the galleries to celebrate the arts!
