Janet’s work includes a cross-section of subjects that explore pastels, oils, and charcoal and the variation of light in nature and architecture. She is particularly drawn to the chaos and unexpected beauty of urban landscapes, traffic and, more recently, ships and the shoreline.
Trained as an art teacher, it wasn’t until 2014 that she had the time to return to art, this time with passion and conviction. She currently divides her time working in corporate training, teaching art, and creating and exhibiting her work throughout New England. Her workshops focus on the importance of value and composition in painting.
