  • About Christine Whalen-Waller


    Christine grew up in Princeton, NJ and came to the Boston area to attend Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. After receiving her BFA and diploma, she moved to Marblehead and was the lead painting conservator at Childs Gallery, Newbury St., Boston. Later she opened a private conservation studio on the North Shore, specializing in easel painting restoration for private clients and a wide array of art dealers and museums. She is married to art dealer Alan Waller. Throughout her conservation career, she has painted in oil and has exhibited extensively in the major art association in the greater Boston area, winning numerous awards and accolades for her work.
    She is a juried artist member of the National Association of Women Artists, NYC; juried artist member and member of the Board of Trustees of the North Shore Arts Association, and juried artist member of the Copley Society, Boston, the Rockport Art Association, the Marblehead Art Association, the Rocky Neck Art Colony, the Newburyport Art Association, the American Institution for Conservation of Artistic and Historic Works (AIC) and is a former member of the Princeton Art Association.
    She has won many awards for her work including many Best of Show, Outstanding Work, awards in various exhibition. In 2006, she was chosen to be the Event Signature Artist for the Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston "Annual Auction and Regatta Fundraiser". Her work can be found in private collections throughout the country and in Europe.
    Christine resides in Marblehead, MA, maintains a studio there and also a studio on the harbor in East Gloucester, MA
