I was always a creative, but it wasn’t until I studied oil painting with painter Enrico Donati that I understood that art was one of my intended paths. My work with Donati laid a formal classical foundation that served me well through my evolution from traditional painting to my current abstract style.
My paintings are process driven and develop organically in-studio. They celebrate color, form, line and texture, and they share qualities that are clearly grounded in my early work. My goal is to step away from intention and create reflective yet dynamic work. Though abstract in style, I continue to honor the miles of traditional landscapes and seascapes that got me here. Today my continuous work as an art student, a gallerist, and an art educator continues to shape and inform my paintings.
As an inducted juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, I exhibit extensively in solo and group shows both regionally and nationally.
