Sandra Golbert has been working in fiber for many years and has won several awards and grants, among them, Endowment for the Arts and Pollock-Krasner Foundation grants. Her artwork and jewelry can be seen in galleries around the country and in the Caribbean. She has taken part in many juried exhibitions including the 9x9x3 exhibit at the American Craft Museum in New York City and the Art to Wear show at the Noyes Museum in NJ, among others. Her installation in the lobby of La Concha Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, (her birthplace) was shown in the August 2009 Architectural Digest. Her work is part of the permanent collection of the National Association of Women Artists at the Zimmerli Museum at Rudgers University. She is honored to be included in this collection among luminaries such as Mary Cassatt, Judy Chicago and Louise Nevelson.
