New England girl at heart, originally from Massachusetts and now residing in Maine, working as a professional photographer since attending the New England School of Photography in the late 1980's. Deb went on to continue her education at the Maine College of Art, studying Digital Photography and Web Design.
More than a 30 year career has included work as a photojournalist, owning a commercial photography, portrait studio and frame shop, establishing a local gallery and exhibiting work in New York City, Los Angeles and New England.
All of this experience has kept her engaged in learning and expanding her work. A profound fondness for natural light, shadow and composition sparks a never ending desire to explore.
Several years back, this exploration led to mixing mediums - primarily using Encaustic Beeswax with Photography. Experimentation has led to discovery and a new path to follow.
