Having lived and painted most of her life in New England, Dale Partiss Greene studied art while at college in CT. Since settling in Ipswich, MA in 1994 she has been inspired most in recent years by studying oil painting with Caleb Stone and more recently with Albert Handell, Richard McKinley and Donald Jurney. She believes that painting en plein air presents the most challenging and rewarding opportunities to really see, feel and connect with the changing moods of nature. Capturing a special moment in time is both her intention and pleasure.
Dale is a member of the Newburyport Art Association where she won the Laura Coombs Hills Winter Juried Show 2006 Award for Excellence in Oil, The Plein Air Painters of New Hampshire, the concord Art Association, The Lyme Art Association and The Mystic Art Center. She won honorable mention in The Ipswich Art Show in 2008. She is a member of The Newburyport Ten Plein Air Group which paints weekly in The Cape Ann area.
Her art has been shown at the Hall Haskell House exhibits in Ipswich., The Ipswich Art Walk and Show, Danvers Library, Sovereign Bank of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Main Street Artworks in Wenham, The Hamilton-Wenham Library, Beverly Farms Library, and in many juried exhibits in the area, including the Rockport Art Association New England Invitational, 2011. In July 2007 she held a solo featured artist exhibit in the Laura Coombs Hills Gallery at The Newburyport Art Association.
Dale’s work can be seen at The Saltbox Gallery in Topsfield MA, Northport Gallery, Northport ME, MiXtmedia Gallery in Ipswich, and at her Ipswich studio by appointment.
