aFrom advanced to beginner painter, Rosalie will guide you on how to choose your own palette and help take the mystery out of color mixing. Students will reach a greater understanding color and light and it’s effect on atmosphere to create beauty in a painting. Rosalie will encourage a more limited palette in order to create more cohesive paintings.
Rosalie will teach the principles and elements of good design and emphasize the importance of color value and contrast to achieve harmony. These techniques/ understandings apply to any genre/subject whether it is figure, landscape or still life painting.

- Good Reference Photos make better paintings! I suggest you use 8×10 photo paper

About the Instructor
Rosalie holds a BFA and MA degree and is a Graduate Supervisor for Tufts University and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA. Rosalie is a national award-winning artist and is a juror, lecturer, and instructor for various art organizations in the northeast. Rosalie is a juried artist member of Rockport Art Association, North Shore Art Association, where she served as a Trustee and Officer, National Association of Women Artists; NY & MA, Oil Painters of America. Rosalie Sidoti’s work is included in corporate and private collections.
