One of Dustan’s most popular watercolor workshops, this workshop celebrates the brilliant color and transparent freedom of the medium of watercolor. Easy steps and clear artistic goals help the workshop participant create a painting that is personal and expressive. Dustan’s extensive experience as a teacher and workshop leader assure a positive, supportive atmosphere for all level of artist. The day’s schedule will also include a demonstration of Dustan’s special process of mounting and finishing watercolors on panels.

Students are asked to bring the following materials to the workshop:
watercolor materials – 140 lb arches cold or hot press watercolor paper – between 9 x 11 ~ half sheet
small watercolor scrap or sketch paper
plastic watercolor palette
colors ( bright happy flower colors) (prefer professional grade or student grade Cotmans) – yellow cadmium light, hansa yellow, cobalt blue, cereleum blue, rose reds, cadmium red light PLUS any colors you enjoy
support board for paper and masking tape
watercolor brushes – assorted rounds, ¼” and ½” flats, wash brush
About the Instructor: Dustan Knight is a professional artist, MFA/MA , retired professor of Art at NHIA, art reviewer for Art New England, and author of ‘Painting The Impressionistic Landscape’ (2017 Rockport Pub). Her artwork is exhibited throughout the US and many of her paintings are in major corporate collections including Macy’s and Acme.
